Giorgi Chincharauli, the founder of the company, recalls and evaluates the organization's path.

- Giorgi, let's start from the beginning, why and when did you become interested in the field of engineering?

- I found myself in this field on the recommendation of a friend. He worked in one of the engineering companies. One day, when he told me what his work entailed, I became interested and wanted to try working in engineering. Soon, I started working in the same organization and took the first steps.

The activity itself turned out to be interesting, because the engineering field was not sharply developed, it was dogmatically framed. In order to provide the right solutions for the customer, we had to develop both standard and non-standard engineering strategies and arrive at the right solutions as a result of teamwork. It was teamwork that ensured our rapid development.

- We mentioned rapid development, which was followed by the establishment of our own company. The history of "Verge" begins in 2019... what prompted you to create it, how did you come to such a decision?

- Quite a lot of experience in the field of engineering since 2012 I collected: design, installation and supervision. I had a healthy ambition to do more and create a boundary between engineering solutions, their execution and engineering network arrangement control, which would provide the customer with a result-oriented service based on his own criteria. I set out to achieve the goal consistently...

- If it wasn't for the healthy ambition and goal to make your own contribution to the development of the field, there probably wouldn't be "Verge" either. Did you think that the company would develop so quickly in a short time?

- Of course, we did not expect such growth in such a short period of time, although our development took place step by step, as a result of correct engineering visions. This was based on the recommendation of satisfied customers. As a result of their trust, we have grown and moved forward.

- What is the main thing that distinguishes "Verge" from its competitors today? Has it already occupied its own niche in the market? 

- It's hard to say, but we think we create engineering solutions for customers that are individually tailored to them, and we evaluate the results and impact of each decision together with them. The company's team is focused on creating customized services with the highest quality and modern standards. We help to make a properly planned engineering investment. Of course, all this is done with the help of a friendly environment created together.

Due to the above-mentioned attitudes, our customer is confident in our competence and limitless actions, because he knows that we turn the requirements to the engineering system into an effective result.

- If you recall the important cases here - the projects that made "Verge" grow and develop as a company?

- At the initial stage, "Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia" expressed the greatest trust in us, we fulfilled their task clearly. We did quite good value engineering, thanks to which we saved the customer quite a lot of financial resources. We equipped the office part of the new factory with a mechanical engineering system. After that, there were international hotel brands: Sheraton, Hilton Canopy Inn, Ibis Budget, Ibis Blu, "Tolia" new factory etc.

- As we mentioned, cooperation based on trust connects "Verge" with many companies, its portfolio is full of successful projects, what is crucial in creating a successful reputation?

- The decisive factor is that since the company was founded, we try to gather and develop groups of engineers who make decisions and according to these decisions, it is planned to work in different directions of the company, and not vice versa.

- Can you tell us about the example of your company, what is most important in this field today and where are modern trends leading?

- Along with flexible, correct and need-based solutions, the introduction and implementation of energy-efficient systems is a challenge not only for the customer, but also for the country. In the conditions of healthy competition, both the customer and the contractor should actively think about the introduction of energy efficient systems. This will bring them more benefits and great financial savings over the years.

- Did we mention the competition, how big and healthy is it in the market?

- In the short term, the competition is great, but in the long term, only those companies that have knowledge, experience and integrity can compete, because there are no large and small customers in our market - there are only satisfied customers and their recommendations are the biggest PR.

In such conditions, what shortcomings do you see that must be eliminated?

- Certain norms and ordinances in force in Georgia are outdated, especially in the conditions of global warming, and need to be updated. Also, students are equipped with very general and vague knowledge in the direction of education.

And when the problem of education and competence is so acute in the market, "Verge" still managed to unite talented, professional people in its team. What helps you gather similar people?

- We took the lack of preparation of the education system for such growth of the field as a challenge and we try to share the knowledge and experience that we have accumulated over the years. Also, we are actively planning the development and support of our team by financing various trainings.

- Is this profession valued and in demand today?

- The profession is quite demanding, therefore it is well-paid and appreciated, however, along with the development of the construction sector, the demand for professional personnel is increasing and the competition in this direction is also growing rapidly.

- I will also ask you about the difficulties that professional personnel in your field face most often. How do you deal with them?

- It mainly concerns relations with customers. They often prefer a temporary solution, and we need some effort to convince them of an alternative, time-tested, correct and reasonable solution.

Also, the most difficult thing is probably investing your own time in self-development. As in all areas, constant growth and development is needed here, so as not to lag behind modern technological innovations and always stay at the height of the call.

- What is the main thing that drives you and "Verge" now, and how do you imagine the company's development path from the nearest to the distant perspective?

- We want the development of Verge to take place in such a way that the level and quality of engineering systems in relation to foreign companies is at least commensurate.

We have a great desire to develop in terms of production as well. Also, let's make our contribution in the direction of education, take care of the development of the field and for a better future.
